E is for Exercise

I was a very active child and teen, but then I kind of just decided I was done exercising and took a really long break, which wasn't a good thing for my body. So while I was in Alabama and about 25, I decided it was time to hit the gym again. I was there morning and night doing water aerobics and I loved it. Once I came home, Washington, I continued with the water aerobics for a bit, but then slowly moved out of the pool and into the weight room and onto the cardio machines. So every weekday morning at 4:53 am my alarm goes off and I'm up and on my way to the gym.
It has been great for my body as I've lost weight, gained muscle, and now look and feel more fit. I also feel better and tend to have more energy for my students and to be awake for the whole day, rather than crashing right after school. It also has helped me to train and complete my first triathlon.

Wow, a triathlon. That is impressive. I find it easy to excercise because if I skip it, I don't sleep, and boy, I love sleep.

That is just so great, I wish I had your energy or your desire to move!

I have to admit I don't exercise at all, terrible I know.

My daughter's a runner, she started a few months ago, just ran her first 10k the other day. loves it like crazy, feels better than she ever has.

Good for you. A triathlon is really impressive.

I try to work out at least three times a week. I love doing Yoga and dance classes, but actually making it to the gym is hard. At some point, I want to sign up for martial arts classes. It looks like a fun way to stay fit, and it will keep me committed.

@Stephanie: those are great work outs to do. Martial Arts huh? I've never done that before.
