Waking up to a crisp winter day was a great sign that a beautiful Christmas tree would soon be sitting in my house, smelling it up!
Typically we head down to the Sproufske Tree Farm, but we wanted to stay closer this year. We left around noon headed out to a place we saw a few weeks earlier. Well in following the signs we ended up at a different place whose trees all cost $55. No thanks! So off we went to another place $45 this time. No thanks! We kept driving and found the original place we were looking for and found trees there were either $7 or $8 a foot. Still no thanks, considering all the trees I wanted were at least 8 feet.
Then I made the phone call to my aunt. She gave us directions to their secret place, which really is secret being it's a u-cut place in the middle of a residential neighborhood. We got our saw, went out, found the tree, cut it down, and were back within 15 min! Beat that!
Now it is sitting here with lights and is going to get decorated tonight when my Aunty Ui comes over and helps me...she's so excited and so am I. Now if only it would stay standing straight we will be good.
-I put the lights on and it tilted a little, so we will have to wait for my aunty to come over and help fix it. Although from this angle, it looks pretty damn good.
