We've spent the last 2 days in meetings preparing for the upcoming year. Talking about a multitude of things that will help to make the year successful and all we wanted to know is what was the schedule going to look like and who was going to be in our class. Did we find out? Nope!!! Not until the end of the day, yesterday, did the schedule come out and today was the first time that I saw semblance of a class list being put into my hands (actually it was online!)
Now the real preparing can get done...the name tags, the sticks, the students assigned to numbers, the schedule put up on the board...all those things that many teachers in other schools got to do waaaaay before the first day of school, we are now scrambling to do on the last day of summer! Boo!
Oh well, I'm going to buck the system and take my last day of vacation as a vacation day and worry about all the other stuff tomorrow morning! So there!
