Happenings in My Classroom

This past week, the kids homework was to invent something and write all about it. I found it really interesting that many of the kids invented robots, which probably isn't too far off from reality. The kids that didn't invent robots, well, their ideas were all over the place.
  • One kiddo wanted to invent a tube, that took her places and dressed her for school and for "events" that she was going to. (Now, come on, what kind of "events" is a fourth grader going to?)
  • Another kiddo wanted to invent an automatic toothbrusher that would brush your teeth and all you had to do was open your mouth.
  • Another kiddo wanted to invent a "magic stick" that looked like a sword with stars on it.
  • Another kid invented a brother babysitter: that consisted of a hand, eye, and ear connected to each other. How it moved or actually watched the brother, I never figured out.
But the one invention that I found that might actually work was the combining of a Xbox360 and a PS3. He was going to call it a XP360 and it would let you play dual games on the same tv screen. He also thought it would be cool to see something invented by a 4th grader.
