Happenings in my Classroom

Most of my kids have been doing really well since coming back from break, (Yeah!) but one of them is having a hard time following directions and paying attention. When asked to put things away, his desk is always still full of stuff. When asked to bring things to the carpet or to our group meeting place, he always is missing something. Even when he repeats the directions, he still ends up forgetting something, which leads us to the other day.
The "paper passerouters" passed out papers and we were going to go over them. I had made the exact amount we needed, yet the one for me was missing. I had the kids look for it on their desk , under their papers they just got, had them all put their paper in the air and swing it back and forth to find it and it didn't show up. After a good 5 min. of looking for it, I decided to use my master and get on with what we were doing and then "all of a sudden" the paper appeared! Where you might ask? On that kids desk!
I was done! He had to pull a card!
