This year the Apple Cup was in Pullman, so first we had to figure out how to get there. Lucky for us, Southwest was having amazing flights into Spokane $49 one way, so we snatched those up right away. The next thing we had to figure out was how to get from Spokane to Pullman. That problem was easily solved as my sister and Bil were going down, so we got to ride with them. Then it came down to tickets. We scoured craigslist, ticketmaster, stubhub and really couldn't find tickets in the price range we were looking for (under $50!) I had also put a call into my sister to see if anyone at her work might have a few extra tickets.
So on Friday, the day before the game, we went to school bags packed hoping for a miracle. Lucky for us, the night before I had found two tickets for $20 each for HUSKY fans only (SO NOT ME!!) and I pleaded my case for 1 husky fan and 1 coug fan. The email said that he would know by 1 if we could have the tickets. We waited and waited and waited with me constantly checking my email. And then the email came, but it was from my sister, not Commando Dave (the guy with $20 tickets), she had gotten us two tickets! We were elated and so excited to be continuing the tradition.
Saturday we headed down to Pullman with my sis, bil, and bil's old college roommate, john, around noon, so we would have time to take it all in and layer up as it had snowed all week and the bleachers were covered with snow and ice. When we got into town, we went and picked up my cousin at his apartment and he joined us as well. Yet when we all got to the stadium, we all headed in opposite directions as our seats were all over the stadium.
Thank goodness this year, the game was a battle and not just a blow out! I even got to hold up fingers in our "end of the quarter" pictures, because this year the Cougars scored. Yet sadly we didn't score enough in the end and in the Cougs lost. After the game we went up to my cousin's apartment and he made us dinner, yummy top ramen with spam and some kalua pig! It heated us up and filled our tummies.

At the end of the first quater UW 7 and WSU 0. The kid behind us cheered the whole game and I could have really cared less, but he only had one cheer. Go Cougars! Boo Huskies! Once or twice wouldn't have been bad, but the whole game one cheer on top of another cheer, Oh My Goodness!!
At the half score was UW 14 and WSU 7

At one point it was tied...WSU had life and could have won it!!!
The final score! We had to include my cousin, because I couldn't do 28 on my own!
