The Happenings in My Classroom

Once a week, we head down to the kindergarten area to read with our buddy readers. It's a great time for my kids to practice their reading skills as well as work on their social skills. Today as we were matching up the kids with their buddies (I was missing 4 kids) I was trying to get one of the kindergartners attention and he was looking all over the room, seemingly ignoring me, so I said, "Hey, T-Rex!" (there was a T-Rex on his t-shit) and he immediately turns and looks at me and says, "My name isn't T-Rex!" Obviously, but it got his attention, right?!?! I put him where he needed to go and they were off and reading.
