Life in the classroom has been pretty busy with testing and making sure we are getting things done for conferences, that today was one of the first days that we got to slow down a bit and just do some learning. We were reading a book that the kids had made about owls, but one kid was missing a page, so when we went to read the story instead of making a big deal about not having the page he just read the words off of one of the other kids books. I didn't say anything, but just kept going. At the end he asked if it was okay that he had read it off of someone eles's book. I said yes, that was a great choice.
This although may seem small is really big for this kid, who usually is causing trouble and not following directions.
This same child at the end of the day wanted to show me the Daniel Guideline moves and chants. He did it all the way through and made no mistakes. Now if only he could follow all the rules he knows!
