The Happenings in My Classroom
In choosing seats around the horseshoe table, the kids usually go for the same spot every time. Never to the waver, until today. All the seats were taken and I had to add two more chairs for teh girls who were late. One of the boys was kind of sitting in the middle of two spots, so I gave him two options of where we could add chairs. His first option was to move closer to the boy who was already seated and leave a bigger space for the two chairs to go next to each other and let the two girls sit together or move over the other way and sit between the girls. It would have been a no brainer for my 1st or 2nd grader. They would have moved faster than lightening closer to the boy, which is the way he started to move first, but then he thought about it, looked up at me and then stated, I'll sit between the girls wiggling his eyebrows up and down. Aaaahhh, the kid is growing up for sure.
