He told me he wanted one for years. He showed me different things he wanted- a basketball, the #22, a cross, an eagle, a rose. He knew where he wanted it- on his calf.
He just needed to have the money and decide. I didn't really believe he was going to get one. I really thought it was just one of those things he would talk about and never follow through with, but yesterday he decided it was the day to follow through. So after some shopping and a quick look in one tattoo shop, we headed over to
He looked through some books and didn't find exactly what he wanted, but the tattoo artist Thor was willing to draw something up for him. He went at it, as we continued to look through the books and at the wall.
The first cross Thor came back with was a little big and a little gaudy, so he gave Thor more direction and he was back to drawing. After the drawing came back and he was impressed, we found out you needed cash, so off we went to the ATM and to get my camera.
We came back just before closing and Thor got to work. Applying the tattoo to his leg and then taking the needle and stabbing his leg over and over and over again!
Pretty amazing huh?
