This weekend is the opening weekend for camping and we took full advantage of it. Cassie and I headed over Chinook Pass, after it opened at noon for the first time this season, to Sawmill Flats. Her car was loaded down with everything we needed and then some. I even had my lap full of stuff. We were worried when we got to the top of the pass and it was snowing and they had to close the road to clear it from an avalanche, but after they cleared it, we were on our way.
We arrived fashionably late to our campsite, but as luck would have it, our third party in our camping trip was already there and had set up most of camp! We did lots of reading, playing of games, eating of s'mores, building of campfires, and praying that there would be no rain. And for the most part all of our wishes came true. (It only rained on Sunday night! YES!!!)
Our tent was wall to wall mattress, but that meant it was super comfy, until you fell into the crack!
There were some beautiful flowers there as well.
