Somethings Cookin in the Kitchen


So I've been doing a bunch of cooking this past week and have really been enjoying it. This week I made my first basic white sauce and then I added some parmesan and garlic to it, so I could have parmesan chicken and noodle.

Then yesterday I mixed some sugar, creamer, and coffee together to make a little vienna coffee mix to add to my shakes.

And today I tried my hand at a new treat....it's a butter/jam and is soo tasty.

I would like to say that in each of my cooking experiences there were no snafus or problems, but with each one there was a little something that happened.

The sauce wasn't thickening fast enough, so I added more flour, well it was too much and my sauce was super thick even to the point of being chunky.
The coffee mix was made in the blender, which needed to be dry, so it didn't get the dry ingredients wet. So I dried the blender, loaded everything in and then when I put the lid on, water from the lid got the coffee all wet! Boo!
The jam/jelly/sauce cooked too fast so it had a few billion egg parts in it! yuck! I tried to take them out, but each time I took some out, more showed up.
OH well! I'm learning! I'm learning!
