But instead I was up and at 'em early working out and then preparing for the craziness that would ensue. Almost every holiday the thrift stores have 50% off. Since I was a kid my mom, sister, and sometimes my aunt and grandma would join us as we would shop our way through them all. Today was no different, although my mom didn't start the day with us, she did make an appearance.
Cassie and I headed north and to start our shopping after receiving sad news that Tanya wouldn't be joining us. She had to take her little one to the doctor.
By days end we had hit 7 stores from Renton to Auburn. I purchased at least one thing at every store and at some stores I purchased way too many things.
I'm now the proud owner of
- 2 Christmas pillows
- 4 pairs of shoes
- dish set (green and blue)
- a blender
- a skirt
- a shirt
- a tanktop
- 2 dresses
- a glass pie pan
- a pair of jeans
- a purse
And soon there will be some proud new owners of stuff I am getting rid of. I took one bag of stuff with me today and gave it away and when I came home I put together another 2 bags.
