This weekend was full of fun, laughter, and little sleep. My halau, Ke'ala 'O Kamailelauli'ili'i and Manawaiopuna 
participated in Ia 'Oe E Ka La in Pleasanton, California. It was our first time there participating and we had a great time and even brought home some awards! We took first in both kane and wahine soloist. May I present to you Mr. and Mrs. Ia 'Oe E Ka La
Our kane placed first in auana and second in kahiko.Our palua (mixed guys and girls) placed first in kahiko and second in auana.
Our wahine didn't place, although they did a wonderful job in both kahiko and auana. Plus they looked smashing in their costumes.
