I've always wished that I lived in a small town. A town where you could walk to wherever you needed. A town that everyone knew who you were and everyone was friendly. My mom's family lived in a small town growing up, well actually the lived out in the "valley", but they attended school in a small town. The same small town that us, grandkids, get to come back and soak up all the small town goodness in. I love it! I love this town that has 3 bars and twice as many churches. This town that has no stop lights and if you blink you might miss downtown. This town that has two city parks built right into the city grid and two huge "pits" on the outskirts of town full of water where kids swing on the rope swing and adults do some fishing.
This town that hosts a rodeo every third weekend in July and closes the streets to traffic each night to host street dances. This town that has a parade that goes down the main street, not once but twice (once going down and then coming back). I love this town and all the fun that it has to offer kids and adults alike...
