Happy Mothers Day...a Day Late!

I had the wonderful opportunity to spend the day with my mom and my dad yesterday. They came down to my apartment where we ate bbq ribs and watched the golfers on the first hole. After we were done stuffing our faces we went up into the woods and played Frisbee golf on a "real" course! We had a great time even though we came back with super muddy shoes.
One morning when we lived in Hawaii, my sister (age 2) and I (5) decided to make my parents breakfast in bed. We didn't have any real food or at least food that I knew went together, so we made a wet-boil peanut sandwich with mustard. My dad jumped up quickly leaving my mom to eat the meal all by herself. To commemorate that I decided to make it again yesterday. This time I used honey roasted peanuts instead and a lot less mustard. My mom cut it in 3rds and we all enjoyed it. The honey roasted peanuts were a great improvement according to my mom.

side note to my mom: You are an amazing woman. I am so blessed to have you as my mother. You are my greatest cheerleader. I hope that someday I can be as wonderful as you.
