I'm a big fan of it and always try to think of something to get my colleagues, friends, as well as my kids. One year I came into the staff meeting late and told everyone that I had accidental hit someones car, but I didn't know who's car it was. People were astonished. I told them I had written all my information down, so who ever owned the blue car out there, here it was. When everyone stood up to see whose car it was, I told them April Fools. They all felt fooled.
This year I toned it down a little and told them that I wasn't coming back next year. That I was going to Spokane instead of staying. Many were upset. One put her head on the wall!!! They didn't think that it was that funny when I told them April Fools!
I put a ring on my ring finger and told my students that I got engaged last night. One of the kids told me that it was about time (He has only been in my class for 2 days) The other kids cheered and then I told them April Fools! They laughed and so did I.
