Rain, We Don't Need No Stinkin Rain!

It's been doing a lot of this here, so although I said I'm super glad to live here I kind of wished we were having sun and not this rain. Because of this rain,

the little creek that flows around my place is now a raging river!

Over the summer they did a lot of improvements for the "fish" when they widened the river. See how close to the edge the river is now? If they wouldn't have put those improvements in, the golf course for sure would have been a lake and I would have had lake front property!

I first thought this would flow down the river past me, but it was stuck, so I walked up to it thinking it was probably a garbage can, but as I got closer realized it was a log, a mighty big log, probably a log that used to hold up power lines or something. It just bobbed up and down sometimes it moved side to side, but it for sure wasn't going down the river, it was caught on something!

This tree is almost completely submerged, usually it sits on top of some land and the creek flows below it.
