Walking in a Winterwonder Land

Yesterday I headed out on a walk to meet a friend. Both of our places are connected by a trail that we each walk on, but never before have we walked on the trail the same day, the same way, to meet each other until it snowed and we had too much time on our hands.
The trail lines a meandering river along the Kent valley. I normally walk on the east side of the river and go north, whereas my friend walks on the west side and goes north. To meet she had to walk south, I north and we had to make sure we were both on the same side of the river, because neither of us knew where we would meet or if there was going to be a bridge that could cross us over to each other.

We headed out with our cell phones (just in case we needed to call for encouragement to keep going or to call it quits because the snow was too deep) around 10 and about forty minutes and (sweating)later we were meeting in the middle at the bridge (not a people bridge, but a car bridge). The trek for me was pretty easy because they had plowed to the nursery, but after that it was deep snow (all the way up to my ankle)Lucky for me someone had cross-country skied through so there was a semblance of a trail to walk on.
The golf course left the fountains on. Only in Kent mind you when it's snowing would you find the fountains still going.
Along the trail there was many great sights to see.

Someone earlier left a little troll along the path.

We chatted until we got cold, then it was time to turn around and head back. I sure walked a lot faster home because I was freezing and I had places to be.
