She taught me the ropes of the silent auction with tactics like hovering, manipulation, and others that will have to stay a secret. She also shared stories of other Catholic auctions she has been to that didn't seem to "catholic."
The bidding went on and on as they kept putting off the closing time of each table, hoping to get more people to spend money. I got more and more nervous about someone swooping in and stealing what I wanted, so we put the tactics into use and once they finally closed the table I was the proud owner of a new website. YEE HAW! Now all I have to do is set it up with their help.
There were many other things that were going to bid on during a live auction, so I got a number for that, but was doubtful that I would bid on any of those things as I knew the items would be way out of my price range and they were.
So I left happily with my web page instead.
