Friday Night Lights

It's Fall again, which mean the smell of fallen leaves will soon be in the air. But more importantly the roar of the crowd, the crashing of bodies, the high piercing sound of the whistle and the flying of pigskin is already there. It's football season again and every Friday night high school players take to the field to watch their dreams of being state champions come closer into view or fall further away.
This season my cousin (#15) will start as Thomas Jefferson's QB1, play some defense, punt, and kick. He's an all around athlete. Last night we watched as TJ played a tough game against Kentridge. There were many dropped passes and missed opportunities in the loss of 38-7. Kama did pass for the only touchdown TJ got. It really felt that we were playing at
instead of French Field.
Football runs in this family as my two older cousins also played for TJ and my uncle has been a long time coach. This year my uncle is the Defensive Coordinator and my older cousin is up in the booth calling plays.

More pictures to come on Capturing My World: Blessings.
