Back To School Shopping

It's just starting for me and I'm sure for many parents has already begun. It consists of the normal school supplies-glue, scissors, pencils, paper, spiral notebook, crayons, and erasers and anything else the kids can talk their parents into, plus clothes. All the old ones don't fit, plus each child had grown an inch or two over the summer, so they need new clothes too.

My school year always started with all the new supplies, a new outfit for the first day as well as a couple of more clothing items to replace old loved items that no longer fit or aren't cool anymore. This year I started my shopping at two of my favorite stores, Goodwill and St. Vincent dePual in Renton. I enjoy shopping at thrift stores, especially now that I am smaller, but you have to know where to go and which places will cater to your size. Towns with bigger people in it will have less to pick from, because it will already be picked over, where as towns with smaller people will have more to choose from because their are less big people. Renton is really a toss up, but I found these two stores on a whim and have had super luck with everything from clothing to furniture.

Today I lucked out and got a pair of khaki pants, black capris, and a black skirt for $13. Two of my items were green tags and they happened to be what was on sale. Lucky me! I will continue my shopping at Ross, Target, and Old Navy. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
