Quest for Zucchini

This morning I headed out on a journey to find some zucchini to make zucchini bread with. I had already tried the night before at Safeway, but they failed to have any. So I set out on foot, trying to save gas, this morning to the R & R roadside stand. They sell vegetables to make money for vacations. I thought I would go and support them. I travelled along the river (purple line shown here on the map) for what seemed like forever, but soon enough (45 min. later) I arrived at the stand to find out that it was closed. There was no fruit, no vegtables, no body. I was out of luck. I didn't know what to do. I had just walked 45 min there, now I had to walk back empty handed for 45 more min. On the way home I called my aunt to see if she had any idea why Safeway might not have carried it and she said that it isn't zucchini season. I was super bummed, but thought I would check one more place out.
To my delight, I was able to find some at Carpinitos and they were only 99 cents a pound.
So my bread is made, my car has a little less gas, and I have a couple of blisters to take care of.
