Her birthday is just around the corner and my hula sister, Tanya, and her dad thought it would be a wonderful surprise to fly her mother, sister and her family, and her brother-in-law to help her celebrate. It just so happened that Relay for Life landed on the same weekend, so the plan was to have them come in and surprise her as she made her first lap, the survivor's lap, around the track. The plan came off in perfection. Everyone gathered at the fence as she began her walk.

As she rounded the corner, we screamed for her to look over, she did and she screamed back at us in celebration,

I am so glad that you love the photos. I was so happy to be there and to see it all happen. I too had tears in my eyes at Relay as well as on Sunday. We are so blessed by you and your family. I can't imagine my life without hula and halau.
