All I was going to do was turn in my laptop for the summer and then leave. I didn't even want to walk back to my classroom, but then I remembered I forgot to put my pillows in garbage bags to kill all the bugs that might have made homes in them. So I was walked back there and then it happened.
I looked at my red wall, that after 5 years is finally showing it's fading and needed to be replaced, so I started innocently taking it down and then it became a way involved project! I should have known not to go back to school, but I did!
I took everything off the red wall (calendar, card chart, number chart, straw chart, weather chart, birthday months) and then the red paper along with the border. Next I put up new red paper with the same border and then had to put all the charts back up -in a new order to give some change for me and my second graders I will have again.
While I was there, I got asked to go pick up some supplies that we weren't able to get from the usual stores we order from, that was fine with me because then I could pick up the two things I forgot to put on the order form. Now I don't have to use my own money.
My mind kicked back into school mode and I thought of things that I could do, so I brought some supplies home to work on while I watch my movie of the day. I know, I know....I'm so "gay", whatever. I thought why just sit around when I could be working and getting ahead.
This is it though! I'm not going back until I can pick up my laptop again and I am for sure not going to my classroom!
