May Day

I came home to find this on my front step.It was super cute. I have no clue who left it, but it brightened my day. It was interesting too, that I came inside and while checking my email, this scrapbooking icon, too was talking about leaving flowers on doorsteps.
Back when we were in Hawaii, May Day was a big deal. It was known as Lei Day and we got to have a fun all day at school. We would either get to play games on the field all day or dance hula all day. It would switch back and forth each year. I remember one year we put on a big show for all the adults. I think I was in 1st grade and already in the front row. (Probably because I was so cute, not because I could dance!) Who knows what we danced, but I do know we used an ipu. If I can find some pictures, I will post them.

I hope you all had a fantastic May Day.
