Hula Camp

We danced and danced and danced until we couldn't dance anymore. We are sore, our brains are mush, and we are all icing or heating some part of our bodies.
There are no pictures, because we danced all weekend. All that is left are the memories that fill our heads and the stories that will be repeated over and over again until something new happens and there are more stories to talk about and new memories to rehash.
Each year our halau puts on Hula Camp where we come for an intensive weekend of dancing, learning about culture, and bonding. This weekend was no different. We learned 4 songs-two awana and two kahiko and talked about why we do things the way do and not just because we are told to do it that way.

Glad you have fun, even if it was a bit tiring!
