De-lish

When I first started dieting, I would always look forward to dinner, because it was the one meal I was actually eating and not sipping my meal replacement shakes. I would plan dinner all day, trying to figure out what sounded good and what was going to be healthy for me to eat. As time wore on, the planning of dinner got less and less and I became more accustomed to my shakes and actually began looking forward to eating (well sipping) on them.
Although today, was slightly different. I was still looking forward to dinner, but didn't know what to make. I was feeling very homey and wanted to create something homemade. I had gotten kind of complacent with my dinners of tacos, hamburgers or chicken burgers, and sometimes breakfast for dinner. I was ready to break out of the mold. I had attempted other things, like soups, chilli, bean supreme, spinch surprise sandwiches, but they always seemed to yeild too much and I would be eating the same meal for weeks on end. Today the kids at school had pasta and meat sauce, which gave me an idea.
On the way home from working out at the Y, (I went after school, because we had a meeting this morning) I stopped at Albertsons right around 3pm for some hot out of the oven french bread. (While in college, we would make a daily 3 o'clock trip over to Albertsons for some of the fresh out of the oven french bread) Then I came home and whipped up some spaghetti sauce with portugese sausage ala Aunty Julie and dove in as fast as possible. It was so good and completly hit the spot. Although my tummy is a little sore now from eating so much, I am so glad I made it.

PS I watched the food network today while listening to the Jim Rome show and picked up some great tips on who to pick for my brackets, where Coach Few stands on getting a championship ring, and a delightful pupu to make for Easter.
