Shopping for Jeans

Over this holiday season there has been a pretty major theme that has come to mind: shopping. Not just any shopping, but clothes shopping in particular jeans shopping.
It seems to be the time of year that all of my friends are going out and buying them. Some know exactly the size and brand that they need -Levi 36x30, while others need to try them on before they can find what they are looking for. I am one of those tryer oners. In one shopping trip alone I think I tried on over 12 pairs of jeans and still couldn't find a pair that I liked and thought looked good.
There are so many different things to consider when you are picking them out and then trying them on. What color wash are you going to get? Are they dressy enough to wear to work? Are they faded in all the right area? How does it make my butt look? Do the pockets hang to low? What about the length? What shoes will I have to wear with them?

My advice:
  • Take someone with you when you go shopping
  • Ask their opinion and listen to what they say
  • Humor them in trying on pairs of jeans you would have never considered
  • If more than one pair looks good and feels good, buy them both, so you don't regret it later.
  • Don't send your pants flying through the air over the dressing room, because they might hit someone you didn't know was in the dressing area.

Jeans shopping is the worst! However after many months I have found a brand/style that I absolutely love. Now I just need to buy several pairs to last me for the year!

all good advice! I usually add in, "when buying multiple pairs, of the same brand, size, and style, TRY THEM BOTH ON. There is variation in the actual fabric cuts. (I have two pairs that are a perfect testimony!)

I still haven't bought any after more shopping today and yesterday. I would buy both if there were two pairs that I thought and looked good, but their hasn't been.
