It was one of those this week. I was worried about it being forever long and by Tuesday it seemed like it was going to go on forever, but then Tuesday was gone it was Sunday again. Oh my!
Although I was worried about one of my students being a disruption in my class, it turned out that he was fine and it was another one that was giving me the problems. She went on a plan and that is all I can say about that. We are learning about air in Science and are getting to push all sorts of things around by blowing through straws and using air pumps. We sent balloons shooting across the classroom all Friday and two parents happened to stop by while it was happening. I was a little overwhelmed, but needless to say, they didn't say anything about my kids being out of control. Phew! We also started our Hawaii unit, which for me gets funner every year, because I am learning a lot in hula that I can bring back to the kids. Two kids already know a little bit about Pele, which will make for interesting discussions when we talk about it.
Hula is going well. I am taking a class on Tuesday nights for the next couple of months, so I will only be going to Thursday night class. I am sad about missing Tuesday nights, but I think it will be good for me to see how much better I will be with only one class to prepare for.
With the loss of one hula class, I will increase my going to the gym by one day and take a walk on the weekends. I am sitting right now...not losing anything, but hoping soon to be down the last 8 pounds to make my goal, well really it will be 20 over my goal of losing 80 pounds.
This week will be crazy and fun and hopefully will produce a lot of pictures. You will just have to wait and see what happens.
