My hands are sore...and it is all due to a stupid blender. I have been making shakes for the new diet and using my blender daily. Well, the other day I noticed it was leaking, so I took it all apart and cleaned everything.
As I put it all together and tightened it back up, the blade fell out. I tried to unscrew the plastic bottom and I couldn't get it. It was stuck. I tried and tried, but to no avail. The good thing was that my shakes for Tuesday were already made, so I didn't have to worry about that.
I thought on my way home from hula, I would look for another blender and then if I couldn't find one at a thrift store, I would buy one at Target, just in case I couldn't unscrew the pieces. Well I looked at every thrift store I could and didn't find one, so after hula I headed to Target. While I was there, I called my mom to see if she had any bright ideas.
She thought I could freeze it and then the plastic would condense and I would be able to unscrew it or to add oil inbetween the two stuck pieces. I left Target with high hopes and no blender. I came home and put some ice in the blender hoping that would work (the whole condense thing). I tried to unscrew it and nothing. I put it in the freezer to cool down over night and then thought I would try it again. I went to bed with sore hands and woke up only to be thwarted again with no movement on the stupid blender. I tried the oil and still nothing. Finally I set it back in the blender bottom and thought, "Poop!"
I was mad because I was so excited to eat tacos for dinner, but if I didn't have my shakes for breakfast and lunch, then for dinner there was no way I could have tacos. Then the light bulb went off in my head. I held the handle and the base and pushed them in opposite directions and I heard a little pop and it came apart. I was so excited, but now my hands hurt...to do everything even type.
