UPDATES from the Storm and the Rest of the Week

  • We didn't have school on Friday or Monday because of the storm. I was hoping for school on Monday considering I hadn't lost my power and really had had enough time of being home. I went up to school on Monday and changed everything over, so that my classroom would be ready for January, but then we ended up having school on Tuesday, so the calendar was wrong and I had to change the date on the board. We had a great time with only 2/3rds of my class there. Having only 22 makes a big difference when you usually have 27.
  • With me having power and many others not, I was a hub of activity through my phone and people coming over. It was busy and we all had a good time, but I was ready for them all to go home on Sunday night. I needed my space. They all obliged only because they had power, I think.
  • I have been running around trying to finish up all my errands and Christmas shopping because it is right around the corner. I still have to shop for two of my cousins and my mom. Mom's are always hard to buy for because they seem to already have everything they need and then if you have a dad that buys everything on her list, that doesn't leave you with much to get.
  • I'm taking today off. I'm not doing anything. No going anywhere, no answering the phones, no wrapping presents, no nothing. Just going to church, taking a shower, and now I am going to watch movies and have some lunch.

I hope that you all have a great day and I will talk to you all tomorrow.
