Small Kid Time

11:00pm is blinking on the clock radio by my bed
Ring, ring
Ring, ring
"Hello?" I said sleepily
"It's snowing!" she said
"Do you think we'll have school tomorrow?" I said fully wide awake now.
"NO, look outside." she said
I looked outside and let out a loud yell. I was so excited.

Many conversations started like this as I grew up and yesterday I was reminded of just one of these calls and what we did the following day when we a had snow day back in middle school. We walked from our houses in the snow up to Bi-mart to buy some candy and then walked out to one of the boys houses that she liked. The walk was probably was about 3-4 miles, in snow, uphill both ways, but we had so much fun doing it. The funniest part was on our walk we were barked at by dogs and then pelted with snowballs by other boys we happened to walk by. Oh the good times. There hasn't been anyone here to play out in the snow with just friends to talk with on the phone.
