It was back to school as normal today, as normal as it feels to start at 10:30 and then go to lunch a hour later, as normal as it is to have 15 kids in a class normally filled to the brim with 26, as normal as it is to end up being observed by your boss for an hour when your kids are going crazy because of all the snow, as normal as it is that your mom shows up to bake birthdaycake with the birthday girl and the birthday girl isn't there, as normal as it is to have to call parents to make sure they are sending in their money for the field trip and making sure they are fingerprinted because they are going to volunteer. That normal.
