Week-in-Review and then some...

This weekend has been very laid back with not a lot going on, which has been good because the past month was just crazy. I enjoyed time with my family celebrating my cousin's birthdays and new house, time with an old volunteer from last year, time with my hula family at Chopsticks, in Tacoma. Let me just say that I love those girls and guys, and time with myself, putting my house back into order, doing dishes, vacuuming and then tackling the never ending loads of laundry. The weekend was nice-tell me which kind of nice and I will send you a prize.
  • School was only four days. (YEAH) My kids drove me nuts on Monday,(BOO) and needed to be re-taught everything on Tuesday (BOO). I got a new kid (YEAH), at his last school he scratched and bit (BOO). I had outside duty (BOO) which meant I walked into the classroom with the kids each morning and didn't always have Tim to get ready for them. (BOO) I am really enjoying my kids (YEAH) the other BS I could deal without(BOO).
  • Hula was nice and relaxed after I talked with Kumu about my performance. I was so worried that he was going to yell at us for messing up and not paying attention, I think I had given myself an ulcer. When I did talk to him, he just wanted to know if I had fun and to him that was all that mattered. But of course for me, I had to be perfect and that is what I told him. He wanted to know where I had learned that and I told him it was all from him. He just laughed. So now I am in a quandary about asking to move to Thursday's only. I guess I will just have to wait and see how the mood is this week.
  • I was in much need for a break and loved the one that I got on Friday. I also enjoyed Friday because I did my first photo shoot with my teaching partner's son. He was so super cute and we got some really good shots. I am going to start doing some friends Christmas cards as well. For all the family still waiting for their cd's from the summer, I will try to get them out soon. I just need to get the packaging.
  • I've been connecting with old friends and hanging out with new ones. There have been lots of good times reminisced about and many more memories being made.

I hope you all have a great week. I know I will. Half day on Wednesday and Tuesday we get a sub for about an hour. It's lunch with my kids tomorrow.
