Weekend of Fun

This past weekend, my girls group (aka the estrogen militia) went on our 3rd annual retreat up into the mountains of Washington. Although we felt like we were celebrating Christmas in August, it was a fun time had by all. Our group was created for single catholic women that were looking for a group for spiritual and social growth. Before our group even got off the ground, in our heads it was so big, we would have to have branch campuses. Yet what was formed was a small group of women that have come to know and love each other. We have all grown over the years and we continue to grow as some are looking for new jobs, some leave for school, some buy houses and new cars, some start teaching again, some get laid off, some are starting new jobs, and none of us will ever be the same for this group. This group has helped me grow into the person I am today. It has encouraged me when I needed to keep going and it let me know that there is a limit to everything. I love these girls.
