My hula sisters will soon leave for E Hula Mau, a hula competition that they compete in every year. I am sad to not be going this year, but am super excited to for next year, when I will be able to join them. I wish them all the aloha that I have and hope that they do well. It’s a great weekend,a 3-day event, always held during the Labor Day Weekend. There are 14 halau this year from Las Vegas, mostly California and us. 8 ladies from our Thursday night class are going and competing. Puamohala

is our solo entry in the Wahine division and Aunty Haunani

is our entry in the Oli category. This years featured group is Na Palapalai, they will perform at the BASH. That is the group that came up and we peformed with in May at GRCC. Good luck ladies, I can't wait to hear all about the stories and all the fun that is going to be had this coming weekend.
