Weekend Warrior

I thought I would take a relaxing weekend to do nothing, but it has been anything, but that. What was I thinking? Well I have finally finished Betty's present (can't tell you what it is until she gets it...sillies, she reads this too). I started looking at all my stuff and decided I should do some spring cleaning and throwing away of a lot of things. The hard part is the stuff that I have is connected to memories and it makes it hard to throw things away. Although there are some things that went directly into the trash as well as give away pile. I am also finding more gifts to go in the gift closet (hee, hee, hee!) I am also catching up on school work I haven't corrected in 2 weeks. I figured I should get that done, so I could stay ahead. This month is going to be busy finishing up all the year end tests and final grades, so I can do grades easily at the end of the year.

Last night I went out with an old high school friend, for "old time sake". She wanted wings so we went to Hooters...like everyone just goes to Hooters for wings. I wore a very appropriate shirt for evenings festivities- my holysister one. She brought a friend named Eric and when she walked in told me I was on a blind date and this was Eric. I thought, "Oh my goodness, she is setting me up on a blind date and she didn't even tell me. I look hot." We had at one point talked about setting each other up, but I thought I would get some sort of notice, not "Let's go to Hooters and oh yeah here is your date." So I decided just to make the best of things and asked him what he did-diesel mechanic. Then my old high school friend asked if I would switch places with Eric, so he could watch the door. I thought it was pretty weird, but did and then I realized. I was going to be on a blind date, but I was not the date. Eric was meeting someone else. I laughed to myself the whole night and when I finally was alone with my old high school friend and told her what I had thought, she also thought it was funny.

Edited: I got a text message on Monday saying that Eric's date didn't work out, but he thought I was cute. What now? I will keep y'all updated.

Kilipohi- Isn't it amazing when you find something that has either been sitting in a box or some where where you don't notice it much and then boom!!!! you start cleaning and finding things that once meant the world to you. It is amazing how quickly it can bring great memories back to you and even some smiles, laughs, and tears. The other day I went through a drawer that had a picture you gave me several years ago, it makes me appreciate my friendship with you so much more and makes me get so excited to get to hang out with you again this summer! I miss you and am counting down my days until we can laugh together again!!! have a great week!

Hilarious blind date story! You'll have to let me in on the end of the story since this post is a little behind-the-times!
