Don't go the the Target in White Center....I must have missed the memo, but I went down there today looking to exchange the seat covers I got for my birthday that didn't match my car. On my drive down there, I drank a full water bottle and a 24oz. drink, needless to say by the time I got there, I had to use the restroom really bad. I had to look all over for a spot to park, which I should have taken for a bad sign already. I walked in and found three people ahead of me in line. Being a consensus shopper and knowing that I can't take merchandise into the bathrooms I waited ever so patiently in line. When it was finally my turn I thought I was going to burst, but I walked up there and told the lady that I had gotten these for my birthday, but they didn't match my car, so I would like to exchange them. She asked if I had the receipt and I said they were a gift. She then preceded to tell me that to exchange them with no receipt, I would have to make sure that the new carseat covers were EXACTLY $19 and that she would have to see my id when I came back, and that I could only have 2 returns without receipts in one year. She told me to take my carseat covers and go and look for a different color. I told her that it wasn't my fault that I didn't have the receipt, but she wasn't hearing it. I left her feeling very disgruntled and not really liking what she was telling me, but at least I could go to the bathroom. I went and then walked to the very back of the store found the new carseat covers and made my way back to the front of the store to do my exchange. Now mind you I had tried to return them once at the Federal Way Target and the lady was just going to let me do a straight across exchange. So I take the new ones up there and she exchanges one and then my license wont let her do the other one. She says I have met my limit in a year with exchanging things without receipts. I have not returned anything to Target without a receipt. I was livid by this time and was ready to leave the store, so I told her that I wanted the same ones I walked into the store back, but she couldn't do that. So now I have one black carseat cover and one tan carseat cover and a super bad taste in my mouth from the crappy service I received.
Update: After the comments received, I have decided to write Target about my experience. I can only hope that this will not happen to any of you.
