Mom's Birthday

Celebrations in our family have always been really big. We celebrate anything and everything, which keeps life exciting and makes the gift closet even more important, because you just never know when you might need something for someone With celebrations ever present in our lives, the amount of time to spend celebrating has always been deliberated and in recent years it seems that the celebrating lasts for a week instead of just the allotted day. And now it seems to have taken on the of the One Up game. Your celebrating lasted one day, mine will last two, yours lasted for a weekend, mine will be the weekend and the week. It seems to keep going and going.
Which therefore has brought me to my point. Last year my mom celebrated for a week with all her friends, family and co-workers. This year it seems like her birthday keeps going. She started with a play "Close to Home", next she saw Polar Express 3-D, then dinner at Bucca di Beppo, then lunch with her friends, off early from work, dinner at home, celebration with family at home...and the list keeps going, she will still be celebrating on the 31st of December with a luncheon. Now my mom is wonderful and I am not saying that we shouldn't be celebrating her this long, but come on really...Her birthday was on the 7th of December! A day that will live in infamy.
FYI..My celebrating starts next month!
